Al Borg Diagnostics offers a wide range of tests and programs that caters to the needs of all age groups
We offer over 2000 tests that range from regular to complex, and others that are exclusively available across our 42 diagnostics centers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the 18 branches spread elsewhere in the GCC and in Africa (Sudan and Ethiopia).

We believe that we are socially responsible of raising community awareness regarding routine laboratory tests, helping individuals lead a healthier life thus generally improving the community health. That is why we offer different programs and packages that suit all segments of the society.

Sehaty Programs

It includes 10 periodic examination programs, designed specifically to suit your needs, as it covers most of the vital functions of the body organs (Heart & Cardiovascular, Liver, Kidneys, Pancreas, Bone and Joints, Thyroid gland, Gastrointestinal, Reproductive organs). This program allows you to check the efficiency of your vital functions and reassure your general health.
We have taken into consideration that these packages are suitable for both genders of all ages, even children. For Al Borg to maintain its international standards in providing state of the art diagnostic services & programs, we obtained a license from the largest American laboratories for our health Blueprint programs.
We recommend that a periodic inspection be performed at least once a year.

Community Care Programs

It includes 10 programs for periodic health examinations, designed to suit different ages and health conditions for both genders. The program includes different packages: Diabetes, Anemia, Liver, Bone, Arthritis, Fertility, Fat, Thyroid and Cardiovascular package. This program allows you to follow up on the most common chronic diseases and the effectiveness of the treatment plan.

Specialized Care Programs

It has 10 programs that include accurate and multiple tests such as H. Pylori, Pregnancy follow-up, STIs, Colon Health, Roaccutane, Allergy Package, Food Print, Bariatric, Trace Elements and Celiac Disease. This program allows you to follow up on your treatment plan and the efficiency of your vital organs.

Al Borg Diagnostics – The partner you trust

Certain behaviors may influence some test results, such as recent or excessive exercise, not taking in enough fluids (dehydration), excessive eating, or recent sexual activity. You may be asked to refrain from some of these activities prior to taking certain tests. It should be noted that many tests require no special preparation. But for those that do, make sure to adhere to the instructions provided. If you ever feel confused regarding the instructions, make sure to ask the person ordering the test for clarification. In addition, if you are not given any instructions, you should ask if there are any special instructions needed to prepare for the test.

One of the most important factors in determining the accuracy and reliability of your lab test is you, the patient. After all, it is a sample from your body (blood, urine, or some other specimen) on which the test will be performed. Therefore, to ensure that the results are reliable and can be interpreted correctly by your health care provider, it is essential that you do the following:

There are some tests that require some special procedures before undergoing them, including the following:

12 hours

Lipid Profile

12 hours fasting (10-14 hrs.) is a must before taking this test.

8 hours

Fasting Blood Sugar

8 hours fasting (6-10 hours) is a must before taking the test.

10 days

PSA

Should be taken 10 days after rectal examination, catheterization or cystoscopy.

2 - 7 days

Semen Analysis

Abstinence from sexual activity for at least 2-7 days, sample needs to be collected inside the laboratory.

48 hours

Urine Culture

Proper washing of hand and genitalia with soap & water. Discharge first few drops of urine and collect the midstream in the sterile container. Stop antibiotic administration 48 hours before testing. In case of home-samples the sample should reach the lab within maximum 2 hours. (the first morning sample is preferable).

24 hours

Urine Collection for 24 hours

Empty your bladder, register the starting time and collect every drop of urine till the next day at the same time in a clean lab container. Keep the collection in the fridge until it is sent to the laboratory.

2 hours

2 hours Post Prandial

The fasting time is calculated from the start of the meal & after taking the anti-diabetic therapy, the meal time should not exceed 10 mins.

Cyclosporin

Samples should be taken in the same period during follow-ups.

48 hours

Stool Culture

Samples should be delivered to the laboratory within 2 hours after collection only in the sterile container provided by the laboratory. Make sure to stop using antibiotics 48 hours before testing.

3 - 4 weeks

G6PD

Testing should not be done during hematologic crisis or within 3-4 weeks after blood transfusion.

6 - 8 hours

Iron test

6-8 hours of fasting is preferred.

4 hours

Urea Breath Test

Stop antibiotics and anti-acidity drugs for 1 week. Fasting for a minimum of 4 hours is also required.

48 hours

Prostate, Urethra Swab

Abstinence from sexual activity for 48 hours, and keeping a full bladder for at least one hour before testing. Stop taking antibiotics 48 hours before testing.
